What are Vegan Amino Acids?

Be Bohemian - What are Vegan Amino Acids? Be Bohemian Logo. An orange mermaid inside a circle with outlines of botanicals framing the circle. A perfect representation of botanicals mixing with sea extracts.

If you yourself are vegan, or generally care about animal rights and seek out vegan and vegetarian products over ones that are not, you may have heard about amino acids.

If you haven't, the gist of it is that amino acids are primarily sourced and derived from silkworms. Therefore, any products using amino acids are not necessarily vegan depending on your personal definition.

At Be Bohemian, we feel passionately that we should be transparent about what goes into our products. In order to create a truly vegan product that we could feel proud promoting, knowing that we were being entirely honest about the actual process of deriving amino acids, we saw it necessary to create a vegan amino acid blend.

If you've read our blog about why we use synthetics or looked at our Ingredients Library, you will see that we give lots of information about how each of these ingredients is carefully chosen to help balance the serum and bring you maximum results.

These silk amino acids included in the botanical sea serum are derived from a natural fermentation process utilising a plant substrate. Amino acids can be incredibly rejuvenating for the skin, promote retention of moisture in skin, and promote resiliency of the skin.

So if you're looking for a product that will help enhance your current skin care routine but want to make sure that the product is 100% vegan, look no further than the Botanical Sea Serum.
